Messages sent between a murder victim and his married lover were deleted from her phone after he had been lured to his death, it was claimed in the High Court today.
Prosecutors alleged that the sister of two men accused of taking part in the fatal attack on Steven Peck in Ballymoney, Co Antrim took the woman's mobile to wipe evidence of contact.
Details emerged as 29-year-old Lisa Gemmell, of Union Street in the town, was granted bail on a charge of perverting the course of justice.
Mr Peck, 33, was discovered with a serious head injury near the Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre on January 3 this year.

A WOMAN accused of preventing any attempt to warn a man allegedly murdered over an extra-marital affair is to be released from custody, a High Court judge ruled.

The mother of two men accused of taking part in a fatal attack over an extra-marital affair allegedly "controls" her family, the High Court heard today.
Prosecutors also claimed Easther McCook knows where murder victim Steven Peck's missing phone is located, and that potential witnesses have expressed a fear of her.
Mr Peck, 33, was discovered with a serious head injury near the Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre in Ballymoney, Co Antrim on January 3 this year.
Detectives launched a murder inquiry after he died in hospital a week later.
Three men, 54-year-old David Austin, of Cherry Gardens in Ballymoney, and brothers Stephen McCook, 28, and Brian McCook, 24, both from Urbal Road in Devock, are currently charged with his attempted murder.

Affair led to attempted murder, court is told


An alleged would-be murder victim was "left basically to die" over an affair with a defendant's wife, a court heard yesterday.
A detective told Coleraine Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, it was the police case that David Austin (54) and brothers Stephen McCook (28) and Brian McCook (24) attacked their alleged victim because he was involved in a "sexual relationship" with Austin's wife.
Appearing at court by video-link the trio were jointly accused of attempting to murder the alleged victim last Sunday, January 3.
Brian McCook, from the Urbal Road in Dervock, was further charged with making a threat to kill the two main witnesses, Austin's wife and his own cousin who lives with the Austins.
