Wicked Local The list of residents who have pulled nomination papers for seats in Burlington's town government continues to grow. The town election is April 10, with Feb. 17 the deadline to obtain nomination papers from the Town Clerk’s office. Due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, there are new procedures in place for registering as a candidate. Who is eligible for office? Any registered voter living in Burlington can take out papers to fill one of the available seats. Office seekers must contact the Town Clerk's office to register as a candidate for the seat they are interested in. Potential candidates need to obtain 50 signatures from registered voters and return papers by mail or in the drop box by Feb. 19 in order to be certified.
