Florida, republican, says he will not vote to increase the debt ceiling. you also will hear that from some republicans in the house who really banked their candidacy back in the fall on that kind of issue. not allowing the u.s. government to keep borrowing. now, john boehner takes a different position saying that if the ceiling is lifted and he expects that it would be, it would have to be tied to serious cuts that would lend some more credibility to the government changing its ways and that s kind of how he positions this. so there is a real spirit of this needing to be addressed quickly, and as steve points out, i like that rolling blackout theme, because without that countdown, that clicking of the clock, as we saw last friday, it is harder to create the absolute urgency. so it will be interesting to see how they create the points where there is that pressure to get it done. and that s something we ll be following closely in the weeks to come. and, steve, are there interim steps w ....
