The collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 218 and 320 th Street at 1:32pm. The Iowa State Patrol says 66-year-old Steven Kapping of Osage was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado westbound on 320 th Street when he failed to stop at the stop sign at Highway 218 and was hit by a 1988 Kenworth semi driven by 45-year-old Darin M. Tusler, also of Osage, who was heading southbound. Kapping was transported to Mitchell County Regional Health...

Authorities say 66-year-old Steven Kapping of Osage, Iowa was traveling on Highway 218 and 320th St. on Friday afternoon when he failed to yield at a stop sign.  A semi-truck was crossing that intersection when it struck Kapping's vehicle. Iowa State Patrol did not report any injuries for the driver of the semi-truck who is also from Osage, Iowa.
