A faculty member at Kansas State University Polytechnic Campus won a top aviation maintenance educator award.
Steven Locklear, teaching assistant professor and option coordinator in aviation maintenance management, was named the Aviation Technician Education Council Ivan D. Livi Aviation Maintenance Educator of the year for 2021.
A faculty member at Polytechnic since 2017, Locklear is a professional aviation maintenance technician and also has a private pilot license and a master s degree in aviation safety. He is pursuing his doctorate as well.
Locklear was nominated by K-State Poly Department Head of Aviation Terry Hunt who said he s not just a professional. ....
