The Heights at Picardy is a 232-unit apartment development under construction near Baton Rouge General-Bluebonnet.
Developers are planning to break ground later this year on a 324-unit apartment complex on a vacant lot in Marrero that once housed the Belle Promenade mall.
The council will, however, have a first reading of an ordinance to rezone property for up to 289 new apartments in Inverness.
