It'll be hot and humid through the weekend. Heat index will push 105 degrees Thursday through Saturday. Most areas will be dry, but a stray storm or two is possible.
A cold front will move in Wednesday night. This will bring area rain and storms. Some of the storms may be strong to severe. Damaging winds is the main threat, but a tornado or two is possible.
It'll be warm and breezy today. While a shower is possible, most of us will be dry. Tomorrow, a cold front will bring another chance for strong to severe storms during the afternoon and evening.
With mild weather in place, we have a spring-type set-up for rain and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could be strong to severe until a cold front passes across the area tonight.
