Blood shortage impacting central Wisconsin

WAUSAU, Wis. (WAOW) A national blood shortage is hitting close to home here in central Wisconsin, and it could be impacting you, even if you don t normally need blood.
Tuesday is World Blood Donor Day, and area donation centers are calling on the community for help to increase supply.
You can save three lives by giving one donation, said Wendy Savage, Executive Director at the North Central Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Despite saying a donation only takes about an hour, area blood donation centers are seeing fewer and fewer donors coming in to give blood. ....
