Viacom18-owned streaming platform JioCinema has attracted over 100 million viewers for the second season of Bigg Boss OTT as the property was put outside the paywall this year, a senior company executive said. "The removal of the paywall to enable consumers across the country to access Bigg Boss OTT, as well as the diverse background of the contestants, have helped us draw over 100 million viewers," the executive said.
The company is rolling out a limited beta test to a small group of members in Canada and the United Kingdom on select TVs starting Monday, and on PCs and Macs through Netflix.com on supported browsers in the next few weeks.
The sale includes almost 6,500 titles, but notably omits popular franchises such as ‘Peppa Pig,’ ‘Transformers,’ ‘Dungeons & Dragons,’ ‘Magic: The Gathering,’ ‘My Little Pony,’ ‘Power Rangers,’ ‘Play-Doh,’ ‘Monopoly’ and ‘Clue,’ which will receive ‘significant development, production and financing capabilities.’
