Nine-phase improvement plan for Southend street
Motorists will be made to contend with road closures on a residential road as a nine-phase plan comes to fruition next week. Southend Council has confirmed parts of Stornoway Road will be off limits to vehicles as gas main replacement works get underway on April 6. Phase one will see drivers being unable to enter Hamstel Road from its junction with Southchurch Road to Stornoway Road. Parking, waiting, loading and unloading of vehicles will also be prohibited on the northbound side of Hamstel Road.
