Luther Seminary cited neighborhood opposition to the proposal to move the emergency shelter to a vacant dorm on its St. Anthony Park campus in St. Paul in its decision to cease negotiations.
"After receiving feedback from its neighbors, Luther Seminary has decided to cease its negotiations with Ramsey County," read an announcement issued by the seminary.
The decision Tuesday now provides cashflow for the county to operate two remaining shelters—Mary Hall and Luther Seminary's Stub Hall through June 22.
