WISE – Thursday was not quite like the Disney movie “Freaky Friday” for Dylan Galenski and Donna Henry, but it had its own wacky moments.

While few colleges have moved in recent years, student groups have taken up the issue, writes Christoph Baker. In January 2020, Johns Hopkins University revealed that it had answered the call to end legacy admissions. In a courageous publication, President Ronald Daniels detailed the need for fairer admissions based not on academic pedigree but with an eye toward socioeconomic and racial inclusion.
