WORCESTER The family of a Worcester woman who crashed into another vehicle while driving west in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 in Sturbridge Saturday evening offered deep apologies to the families of two other women killed in the fiery crash.
Wrong-way driver Deyja Jackson, 40, of Worcester, died in the crash.
“I m so sorry with their loss . I’m sorry. . We’re all going through this now,” said Willena Rosemond-Lopes, 68, Jackson s aunt who raised her like a daughter. ....

Several people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 in Sturbridge Saturday evening, officials said.
The number of people injured, or the nature of their injuries, was not disclosed on Twitter by either State Police or the state Department of Transportation.
The east bound side of the highway is closed and traffic is being diverted to Route 20, State Police tweeted around 7:20 p.m.
Sturbridge fire and MassDOT officials responded to the crash near Exit 6, State Police said. ....

Three killed in wrong-way crash in Sturbridge

STURBRIDGE, Mass. (WLNE)- Three people were killed in a wrong-way crash in Sturbridge Saturday evening.
The accident happened around 6 p.m. on Route 84 just before Exit 3B. Massachusetts State Police said one car was driving the wrong way, heading westbound in the eastbound lanes.
State Troopers received a report of the wrong-way driver, and immediately headed toward the area to find and stop the driver.
Minutes later, the wrong-way driver hit another car on the eastbound lanes.
State police said the crashed killed three, one occupant in one car and two in the second car involved.
A spokesperson for the department said the scene was cleared about four hours after the crash. ....
