As India confirmed 390,000 new COVID-19 cases and nearly 4,000 deaths on Tuesday, there is a dire shortage of hospital space and oxygen. The India Association of New Hampshire is giving its first big donation to relief efforts.
The association has raised $60,000 so far, thanks to donations from the New Hampshire Charitable and Gupta Family foundations, along with hundreds of individuals. Sign up for our Newsletters
“So many Granite Staters have been sending us donations, donations have been pouring in every day,” said Tej Dhakar from the association. “We really appreciate the kindness of the people and their concern.” ....

Sewa International Boston Seeks to Raise $100,000 to Help India Defeat COVID-19

BOSTON– Sewa International’s Boston chapter seeks to raise $100,000 to help India fight the COVID-19 second wave that continues to claim as many as 3,000 lives daily and has overwhelmed the country’s healthcare infrastructure.
Sewa Boston has also started a volunteer-driven COVID-19 task force to assist the US Indian Diaspora with the critical information needed to help their family members in India. The fundraising campaign is being conducted via the Sewa Boston’s Facebook site.
Arvind Sodhani, a local Indian American philanthropist, is matching donations up to $100,000 in this campaign. ....
