Special Report With Bret Baier

to me when you break it out not just head-to-head but include r.f.k. jr. he announced with their campaign they apparently got access to the ballot in michigan which is significant. of course the kennedy family coming out in force to endorse biden today. that's an interesting subplot here. the conventional wisdom is that r.f.k.'s presence on the ticket or the ballot, rather, would benefit donald trump and hurt joe biden. that is true in two of the states in our poll, but in the other two it actually helps biden's margin a little bit. so, it's all within a point or two. but, that's an interesting note to keep an eye on. it's not quite as clean cut at least right now as a lot of people would suggest. >> yeah, that's right. and leslie, r.f.k. jr.'s sister carrie was on with that endorsement today. let's take a listen. >> nobody competes with president biden when it comes to carrying on the legacies of john kennedy and robert kennedy and

character that my character lucy explores. this is a tabloid and subplot of who done it, it's where america has gone. she's put in situations as a writer, as a journalist, lucy, in writing about them and her editors are goosing them to sell papers. and, you know, there isn't that far distance between the $787.5 million settlement being paid by fox to dominion. it's part of the tabloidfication of the american media. >> some of it is black and white unclear how they're goosing the story to make things up but shades of gray there that holds a mirror up to the media industry writ large. jake, first of all, this is a book that has footnotes in it, so you will learn something. but it's also a really fun interesting read, if you love a good thriller.

be a fringe view, but it is speaking to a part of the republican party right now that sees these leaks as a public service in some way, it's playing into the grievance politics that we've seen for the past six years in this country, and i think this is the other subplot here because this allowed us a window into some of the spaces that particularly young white men in this country are inhabiting, and it wasn't just anti ukraine. it was anti black, anti trans, anti gay, very pro gun if you look at a lot of the paraphernalia that this young man was collecting, but this is just another. the exclamation point on the point that a lot of the politics, uh, right now in congress, for instance, is basically people who are very bombastic who are about us versus them and grievance politics and that this is actually having a real impact on our culture, and i'm young people. here's the marjorie taylor green tweet, and then you can jump in. she tweeted this week. jack to share a is white,

schools and charter schools. but now they are contributing to grade school spirit and two high schools. this is absolutely insane. so you have a subplot to a bigger story, and that is what is going on in fairfax? the scholarships, they earned it and never told about it. they want to make money towards college but never got it and they are still trying to make amends with that, steve. >> steve: we need to know what they are using the money for. if it is a goodwill thing and a pilot program where he sister school in china and china has a sister school in the united states, we need to know more details but back to the first story regarding the fact that it is clearly discriminatory what they are doing regarding the college prep program, we have carol markowitz and bethany mantell, they have written a book. it is all about school. here they are talking about how fairfax county is banning whites
