Education Dept Lost 6 Employees To Covid-19


SRINAGAR: As Covid-19 counties to crate havoc across the globe, in yet another heart wrenching incident, three government teachers have passed away in Jammu after loosing the battle to Covid-19.
The teachers have been identified as Sushma Chib working in Government Higher Secondary School Jhiri, Mohammad Arshad posted in Government High School Gurdanbala Rajouri, and Praveen Kumar posted in Government Middle School Chinore.
In addition to this three more officials working in the Directorate of Education, Jammu have also lost their lives the virus.
In a tweet, senior doctor and ex president Doctors Association of Kashmir (DAK) Dr Suhail Naik also wrote, ....

Covid-19: Kashmir Civil Society Members Voice Concern On Lockdown Strategy

SRINAGAR: As Kashmir valley braces for a third lockdown from Thursday evening owing to the rising Covid-19 cases, the civil society at large is suggesting various measures to contain the raging contagion while keeping a complete lockdown strategy as the last measure.
The 84-hour lockdown will be the third consecutive since reading of Article 370 on August 5, 2019.
Dr Suhail Naik, President Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) said Section 144 is better with people adhering to Covid-19 appropriate behaviour rather than locking people down.
“People can still flatten the curve if they wear masks and sanitize hands which people generally do,” Dr Naik said adding that people should avoid all sorts of gatherings and go for vaccination en masse. ....

Second Wave of Covid-19 Affecting Kids is Matter of Concern Say Doctors
Appeals people to go for vaccination and adhere to Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB)
Jammu 17 April: Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) on Saturday said that the  second wave of novel Coronavirus affecting Kids is a matter of concern.
They said that until recently, the children were not seriously implicated by Covid-19 and this was the biggest psychological relief for parents and doctors.
In a statement issued to the Kashmir News Bureau, DAK said there were only a few documented cases worldwide, and most cases were asymptomatic. However, the second wave of Covid-19 has come with different aggression, high rate of transmission, changed spectrum of illness and virus is impacting kids significantly. ....

SRINAGAR: Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) ON day in a statement said that untill recently, the children were not seriously implicated by covid-19 and this was the biggest psychological relief for parents and doctors. However, the second wave of Covid-19 has came with different aggression, a high rate of transmission changed the spectrum of illness and the virus is impacting kids significantly.
President Doctors Association Kashmir, Dr Suhail Naik said that due to continuous viral replication, the virus develops different changes in its genetic code called as mutations, and subsequent alterations in its antigenic structure and virulence factors. ....
