A winter storm is expected to move through New York with snow accumulations up to 12 inches for Binghamton and across the Southern Tier.

Jason Cawley responded to 911 calls from a man who had called Tioga County authorities and had run off the road and needed assistance. Everyone knew a big snowstorm was coming — they just didn't imagine how big.  As the Nor'easter churned up the East Coast, forecasters warned the massive system could drop more than a foot of snow on the Binghamton area and other parts of the Southern Tier in New York. It turns out that estimate wasn't even close.
