February 17, 2021 Bring those school history lessons to life for your children with a visit to Sully Historic Site. Sully is offering a “Life in Historic Virginia” program as part of the Park Authority’s new series of “Field Trips for All” that are designed to supplement classroom and online lessons. Parks provide an experience not easily duplicated in the classroom, and these field trips offer parents a unique opportunity to provide their kids with real experiences while applying the concepts required in the Virginia Standards of Learning. This history program is designed for students in grades one through six. Life in Historic Virginia is offered on Mondays, March 1, 15, 22 and 29, 2021. The 45-minute programs at Sully Historic Site run at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., and the cost is $40 per family. Registration is limited to allow for social distancing. All attendees, parents and students, must register to control group size. ....
