The Utica Police Department has released additional details regarding a shooting investigation that took place on Christmas Eve on the 1400 block of Sunset Avenue.
Police said the victim, whose identity was not released, was driving in the 1400 block of Sunset Ave. at about 2:20 p.m. Sunday when the suspect on foot fired multiple gunshots into the vehicle. Police said the victim was struck by a bullet in the upper abdomen, and he managed to drive to Burrstone Road, where he called 911.
