In dollar terms, that’s projected to be in the $49 to 50 million range, he said. He said the education budget that passed the Legislature this year maintains a status quo position. Dougherty said the district will continue to work with the Legislature. Dougherty said Wyoming’s Legislature this year basically punted the funding challenges that the state faces during the current financial crisis. Overall, he said, that isn’t a good thing. But because of that, he said, the negative impact that school districts face in the coming year is flat, with no reductions in revenue. ....
