There, do you? that s right, i don t. herman cain has been here once since the straw poll, mitt romney has only been in the state three times. last saturday when herman cain was at the iowa state football game he was swarmed by supporters, so herman cain is getting some love here. if you look back at the june polls, romney hasn t budged, his support hasn t budged. herman cain it looks like jumped up in the polls. he took the bachmann swing, she s down at 8%. she was at 22% in june. ron paul has went up 5%. his campaign told me last night that that survey doesn t take into account independents and democrats in iowa. iowa is a same-day registration state, so they re looking at getting a boost from independents and democrats who are going to sign as republicans or convert to republicans on january 3rd. that was something the obama campaign counted on was getting independents to register that day and do that. let me ask you this, digging into the poll, the most troubling sign in there ....
president obama s finance committee. is it officially a lost decade for the middle class? it s certainly a lost opportunity. we ve lost ground. and middle class americans are really suffering. the top end has done well though. that s where you get this whole political narrative that the middle is suffering at the expense of the top. the what s happening right now is we re seeing a transformation or a dramatic change in our economy. we ve gone from a manufacturing oriented economy in terms of middle class job opportunities, those jobs are now lost. many of them are lost overseas and so now, our economy is paying for intellectual property and ideas. so we re going to be a much more educated economy and the jobs that are going to be created are going to require a greater level of education. that s happening faster than american families can transiti n transition. don wrote the september cover story, can the middle class be saved. we certainly hope the answer is y ....
