Diana Lynn Smith "Nannies", 68, of Fort Madison, died Thursday, May 11, 2023, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington surrounded by her family. Born December 29, 1954, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Lawrence Raymond and Patricia Ann Pitzer Rice. On May 26, 1978, she married Randall Dean Smith in Burlington, IA. He passed on January 9, 2023. Diana was a teaching associate for James Madison Middle School and Edward Stone Middle School. She worked at Head Start prior to that.
