Teledyne SP Devices Announces 12-bit Digitizer with 7 Gbyte/s Sustained Data Transfer Rate

Teledyne SP Devices, a business unit of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE: TDY), today announced the release of ADQ32 a fourth-generation modular data acquisition board optimized for high-throughput applications. The combination of on-board open field-programmable gate array (FPGA) and high-speed data streaming makes it ideal even for the most computationally demanding applications.
The dual-channel 12-bit digitizer supports synchronous sampling at 2.5 gigasamples per second (GS/s) on each channel and features an open Xilinx Kintex Ultrascale KU040 field-programmable gate array (FPGA). ADQ32 is streamlined for high-volume applications and is therefore suitable for integration by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in areas such as swept-source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT), time-of-flight ....

Imagine Entertainment, CalFilms Asia and Sixty Percent Productions have partnered to co-finance and co-produce “Taiwan Crime Stories,” a Chinese-language anthology series inspired by real criminal cases from Taiwan.
Four pairs of writers and directors will deliver stories that are each told over three episodes, for a total of 12 episodes, set at 60 minutes or longer.

DUISBURG (dpa-AFX) - German conglomerate ThyssenKrupp AG (TYEKF.PK), at its 22nd Annual General Meeting, Chief Executive Officer Martina Merz said the company expects the performance measures in the current fiscal year 2021 to result in a sustained improvement in earnings in the low- to mid-three-digit million range.
The company said is it seeing the first signs of an economic recovery in many areas, despite the renewed lockdown.
In the first quarter, the company said it has been benefiting from the positive performance of the economy. At the same time, its structural changes are beginning to bear fruit. ....

A man has sustained lacerations to his head, face, shoulder and hands after a crocodile clamped its jaws around his skull while he was swimming near a major northern Queensland city.
The attack occurred around 12.40pm on Thursday about 11km northwest of Cairns CBD off Lake Placid Rd at Caravonica.
The 44-year-old victim was able to swim to the bank to get help, said critical care paramedic Paul Sweeney who attended the scene. ....
