SAU Tech names Tavitha Wooten as August Betty J Lewis Unsung Hero
Tavitha Sanders Wooten is a Generation X girl who was born alongside her twin brother on April 27 in a small rural community (Falcon), Buckner Arkansas. Tavitha attended Stamps High School, now consolidated and known as Lafayette County High School. Tavitha graduated Summa Cum Laude and Salutatorian in the 1985 Stamps Yellow Jacket class. In August 1985, Tavitha attended Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia, AR. With a major in mathematics and a minor in computer science, she earned her Bachelor of Education in 1989.
