In a campus email, Kevin M. Guskiewicz announced that he will step down from his role as chancellor after nearly five years of leading the University, effective Jan. 12.
Auditor Mike Harmon released the results of his investigation Thursday, which focused on activities by KCTCS's System Office between July 2020 and April 2023.
The victims are Professor Cha Jan "Jerry" Chang, 64, of Henderson, Nevada, and Assistant Professor Patricia Navarro Velez, 39, of Las Vegas.
The audit released Thursday identified five findings related to the KCTCS System Office’s finances, including a lack of transparency when reporting one fund to the board and overcharging community colleges by $24 million.
