KSU self-reported the findings of the special examination from the state auditor’s office to its accreditation body earlier this year. As a result, the university has been placed on “warning” status.
The audit released Thursday identified five findings related to the KCTCS System Office’s finances, including a lack of transparency when reporting one fund to the board and overcharging community colleges by $24 million.
The Kentucky Auditor of Public Accounts Mike Harmon released the results of a special examination into the Kentucky Community and Technical College System.
