A car was left wrecked after a police chase which resulted in a suspect being hunted down by one of the force's dogs.

Police uncovered bags and bags of cannabis after a chase through woodland went terribly wrong for one man. In the early hours of Saturday morning, police were alerted to a suspect vehicle in the Chorley area. The vehicle sped-off from officers in the opposite direction. Upon trying to flee the police, the driver crashed the car and then got out, running off into a wooded area. Brendan Kiely A FAMILY has paid a touching tribute to a well-known property developer who tragically died in a road traffic collision at the age of just 54. Brendan Kiely died in Lytham, where he was living, after being hit by a car while walking on a rural road. Paramedics pronounced Mr Kiely dead at the scene. His children Harrison, Elli and Anya paid tribute to Mr Kiely on social media.
