States of that you mentioned, california, illinois, and new jersey and new york and several others, are just facing debts, i don t see how they ll get out from under them and there will be big pressure and we talked about it on the show last week, pressure on washington to bail out the states that are in big trouble and there will be resistance to that among people who live in states that have been paying their bills. martha: i think bill said he thought you just should let california go, and he ll get a lot of heat for that and, we bring it up again and he ll get more heat for that! and say we should let the states file for bankruptcy and would be a more efficient way to handle it. if you look at states and a lot of major cities, one reason they are insomuch financial trouble, martha is because of these huge pension liabilities, they have with their public employees unions and the only way that they can get out from under those, is to renegotiate them, through a bankruptcy proceed ....
