WENATCHEE — The state has fined a Wapato-based contractor and Stemilt Growers a combined $650,000 after a worker died last year at an apple storage room due to a lack
EAST WENATCHEE — A contract worker at a Stemilt Growers facility in East Wenatchee died last week due to a lack of oxygen while in a controlled atmosphere room.
The cause was asphyxiation due to a lack of oxygen within the controlled atmosphere room, said Douglas County Coroner Tanner Bateman.
The Douglas County Coroner’s office confirmed the identity of a body found in Columbia River to be 25-year-old Rock Island man Jesse Robert Cadenas Tuesday.
