TROY - The husband of a Troy homicide victim is now charged with killing her.
Taquan Evans is now charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of 30-year-old Georlasia Evans.
Her death was ruled a homicide, after initially being called a suspicious death.
She was driven to Samaritan Hospital last week, where she was found dead in the car.

Police noted that along with being from Troy, the two had been married.
Taquan Evans is presently being held in the Troy police lockup and is awaiting arraignment in Troy City Court.

He is facing a single count of second-degree murder (depraved indifference to human life).
Police added the cause of death of Georlasia Evans is listed as death due to asphyxiation by strangulation.
