Article content One of the first sparrows to return every spring is the Song Sparrow. This little bird arrives around the end of March or early April and quickly makes its presence known through its familiar song. Its return usually signifies that warmer weather is just on the horizon. The Song Sparrow enjoys a diversified habitat. It can be found singing near shrubbery of homes and gardens or near watery ditches along our roads. It also haunts thickets on the edge of woodlots. It is generally absent in deep woods or open, clean fields. We apologize, but this video has failed to load.
