Per acre yields for the U.S. sugarbeet crop in 2023 ranged from slightly below to record, depending on late-season temperatures and rainfall.
Yields during the stockpile harvest, which was 99% complete on Oct. 23, 2023, averaged 31.9 tons per acre, said Steve Rosenau, the company’s vice president of agriculture.
Rain slowed sugarbeet planting in Minnesota and North Dakota.
