UTech pays tribute to former president Dr Rae Davis

The University of Technology (UTech) has expressed sadness at the passing of its former president, Dr Rae Davis.
Davis, the older brother of former Finance Minister Dr Omar Davies, passed away on Monday following a period of illness. He was 80.
In a statement, Professor Colin Gyles, Acting President of UTech, expressed condolences to Davis family and friends and hailed the late president for the role he played in the advancement of the educational institution.
Dr Davis served as the second president of the University of Technology, Jamaica for a period of 10 years, successfully leading the transition of the institution from college to university, Gyles said. ....
