The Archie Foundation has just launched its summer campaign urging to people to picnic outdoors.
A charity is urging people across the north of Scotland to raise vital funds for them this summer – simply by having a picnic.
The Archie Foundation wants people to get together for a picnic, and has teamed up with three local firms who will provide all the goodies required.
Grazey Days, Perfect Platter and We Love Platters will make up picnic boxes, and donate £5 from each one to the charity.
A Sunshine Picnic – an afternoon of sandwiches, cake and prosecco – is also be being held at Culloden House in Inverness on August 21 and 22, though tickets are limited. ....

A marathon cycle inspired by courageous Angus brain tumour tot Kinsley McMillan has smashed through the £5,000 fundraising barrier.
Paul Duncan took on the 12-hour Forfar Loch event on Saturday to raise funds for Tayside Children with Cancer and Leukaemia.
He set up the event as a show of support for the battle being fought by cousin Eden Kennedy’s one-year-old daughter, Kinsley. ....

A Dundee student with a lifelong love of buses is taking a more pedestrian route to raise money for a Tayside children’s charity.
Kian Greene plans to walk the city’s number nine and number 10 bus routes – a combined distance of more than 50 miles – in aid of the Archie Foundation.
The teenager, who picked up his fascination from his bus driver grandad, intends to complete the two journeys on March 6 and March 7. Along the way he is aiming to raise at least £100. ....
