5/5 It is safe to say that buying a smartphone in 2021 goes beyond excellent hardware. The ecosystem is just as important, as seen by Huawei being cut off from Google Mobile Services and the Play Store. HMD Global, a Finland-based company which designs and markets Nokia handsets, has released its first 5G smartphone, the Nokia 8.3. While other handsets like Samsung, LG and Huawei typically come preloaded with bloatware, Nokia does not; it runs an unmodified version of Android. Aside from the drawcard that is stock Android, it is part of the Android One family, a collection of third-party devi...

( Editor's note: The review has been republished on account of the Reno 5 Pro 5G's first sale today, 22 January) 2020 saw a lot of smartphone manufacturers jump into the low-cost flagship territory, or the low end of the premium segment. While Xiaomi had a big surprise when it announced its Mi 10T Pro (Review) was a delight, given its camera capabilities and cut-throat pricing. Samsung, of all manufacturers, also decided to dip its feet into the segment. For whatever reason, Viewsonic is charging a slight premium for this panel. Jan 19, 2021 15:21:44 IST With GPU-makers setting their sights on 4K gaming and CPU prices tanking – thanks to a struggling Intel and resurgent AMD – high-refresh rate 1080p gaming isn’t so far out of reach as one might believe. Jan 18, 2021 12:03:49 IST “What the...?” was my first reaction when Honda launched the CB350 “H’Ness” (pronounced Highness, for whatever reason). I thought Hero was the king of weird, soft, cuddly names for their bikes, but Honda’s brand team is really letting their freak flag fly. Some background: Royal Enfield is the obvious target here. I mean there’s a red dot and everything. The storied Chennai-based, formerly Briti...

Rating: 3.8/5 Price: Rs 9,999 The sub-Rs 12,000 fitness watch category in India is getting more competitive by the quarter. First, it was Amazfit who redefined the category with their GTR model; which is still a force to reckon with. Then Huawei/Honor jumped in with their models, followed by Xiaomi and a few others. After testing the waters in the sub-5K category, Realme is now ready to play in a higher weight class with the Watch S Pro. It is their premium-most watch in their short journey in the category so far. Realme Watch S Pro. Image: Tech2/Ameya Dalvi The Realme Watch S Pro is more of ...
