Kaduna State Government Vows To Castrate Convicted Rapists As Contained In 2018 Prohibition Law

The Kaduna State Government has said male rapists will suffer surgical castration as punishment while female rapists will undergo bilateral salpingectomy. The state Commissioner for Human Services and Social Development, Hajiya Rabi Salisu in a press conference on Thursday stated this after a meeting with stakeholders organised by the ministry in collaboration with the Centre for Integrated Health Programs (CIHP). The commissioner noted that the punitive measures were contained under the Kaduna State Government Violence Against Persons Prohibition Law (VAPPL), 2018.
