The Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine has published the draft National Target Scientific and Technical Space Program of Ukraine for 2021-2025, Ukrinform reports with reference to the ministry’s press service.
"The purpose of the program is to ensure the effective use of space potential and increase its impact on addressing pressing issues of social and economic, environmental, informational, scientific and educational development of society, ensure interests of the state in national security and defense," reads the report.
According to the ministry, state support of the space sector of the national economy in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Space Activities" and the National Security Strategy of Ukraine requires an optimal balance between sources of funding from the state budget and other sources (investment and innovation funds, own funds of companies).
