Technip Energies signed its first catalyst supply agreement with LanzaJet Inc. (LanzaJet), a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) producer, for its proprietary Hummingbird® ethanol-to-ethylene catalyst. LanzaJet’s SAF delivers more than 70% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions on a lifecycle basis, compared to conventional fossil jet fuel. The catalyst will be used in LanzaJet’s first commercial demonstration scale integrated biorefinery at its Freedom Pines Fuels site in Soperton, Georgia, USA. Technip Energies was awarded its first commercial License for the Hummingbird® Ethanol-to-Ethylene technology by LanzaTech in 2019, founder and investor in LanzaJet.
Hummingbird® is a second generation, low-cost process for dehydrating ethanol to produce ethylene. It gives ethylene derivative producers an option to produce ‘niche’ renewable products from sustainable bioethanol sources. A ....

Technip Energies and Arundo have joined forces to deliver a new digital service, SPYRO® for Asset Management (SAM). This unique service improves the Operation, Availability and Reliability of ethylene plants by applying the simulation capabilities of SPYRO®.
SAM provides the plant’s personnel with operational key performance indicators, alerts issues and continuously suggests optimization opportunities based on real time plant data by unlocking the information hidden in the historical data of the ethylene plant. It uses Technip Energies proprietary SPYRO® software for prediction and optimization of the plant and applies the key know-how required to design these plants gained by Technip Energies through its experience as a licensor and the delivery of 33% of the worldwide installed capacity. ....

France-headquartered Technip Energies, a leading Engineering & Technology company for the energy transition, provided the proprietary technology and process design for Hengli Petrochemical (Dalian) Chemical Co. Ltd.’s (Hengli) mega 1,500 kta liquid ethylene plant in Dalian, Liaoning Province, China. The plant has passed all final acceptance test.
The plant successfully started up at the beginning of 2020 to reach its capacity shortly after the start-up, and despite COVID-19 context, passed all performance guarantees and the final acceptance test in the fourth quarter, Technip said on its website.
Known as the largest liquids ethylene cracker in China, the plant was completed and started up in 13 months since commencement of the construction, as part of a 20,000 kta refinery complex which broke ground in 2017. ....

Technip Energies provided the proprietary technology and process design for Hengli Petrochemical (Dalian) Chemical Co. Ltd.’s (Hengli) mega 1,500 kta(1) liquid ethylene plant in Dalian, Liaoning Province, China.
