Joseph Vazquez is a third-year mechanical engineering student from Rochester and is a part of the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) at RIT. Last summer, Vazquez conducted research at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Ivan Iton ‘21 is no stranger to the rigors of athletics. The Doctor of Physical Therapy alum and standout basketball player was twice named the Empire 8 Conference Defensive Player of the Year and is ranked fifth on the College’s all-time scoring list, second in career blocks, and third in career rebounds.

North country students explore STEM at annual Clarkson University roller coaster camp

POTSDAM — This week at Clarkson University, kids and teens experimented with the science of motion. The university’s 15th annual IMPETUS Roller Coaster Camp was the culmination of a year of monthly programming centered on STEM: science, technology, engineering and math. About 150 students in grades 7 to 12 participate in the academic year program, implemented in 11 school districts mostly in St. Lawrence and Franklin counties, and through Clarkson’s Hudson Valley campus at the Beacon Institute for Rivers and Estuaries.
