Warning issued after emergency services tackle house fire
A CHIMNEY fire in Wigton has prompted firefighters to remind people to get their chimneys swept. The Crew from Wigton Station were called to action on Monday morning after they had a report of a fire in a home on West Street. When Firefighters arrived they found a chimney fire. a spokesman for the crew said: "At 11.30am the fire crew was called to a chimney fire. "They used chimney gear and a thermal image camera to extinguish the fire. "We would like to remind everyone to get their chimneys swept and cleaned regularly, especially now we are at home more often."
