China To Impose Sanctions On Top US Executives For Selling Weapons To Taiwan
The Chinese Government announced on Friday that it will prosecute top executives of US businesses Raytheon Technologies and Boeing Defense for their roles in the recent sale of a $1.1 billion military aid package to Taiwan, according to the state-owned Global Times newspaper. Gregory Hayes, CEO and Chairman of Raytheon Technologies, and Ted Colbert, President and CEO of Boeing Defense, Space, and Security, were among those sanctioned, according to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning, at a press conference.
