Tempe voters rejected a bid on Tuesday by the Arizona Coyotes and the city of Tempe to build a new arena complex near Priest Drive and Rio Salado Parkway.
Tempe voters will decide on May 16 whether to support or oppose measures that would allow construction of an Arizona Coyotes development project.
The two sides of the proposed Tempe Entertainment District sat down for a virtual debate on Tuesday just one month before the special election will take place.
The project, if approved by voters in May, would bring apartments, hotels, and a new arena for the Arizona Coyotes just west of Mill Avenue on Priest Drive.
