A heartfelt farewell to 19 educators from Amherst County Public Schools who are retiring or who have retired in the past year was held during a May 20 dinner at Sweet Briar College.
Derrick Brown is stepping down as principal at Amherst County High School to become director of professional learning and student success for the division.
