U.S. Sanctions and Other Measures Imposed on Russia in Response to Russia’s Use of Chemical Weapons
Today, the Secretary of State determined that the Government of the Russian Federation has used a chemical weapon against its own nationals, in violation of the Chemical Weapons Convention. As a result, the following sanctions will be imposed (full or partial waivers are noted below) after the 15-day Congressional notification period:
Foreign Assistance:Termination of assistance to Russia under the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, except for urgent humanitarian assistance and food or other agricultural commodities or products.
Arms Sales:Termination of (a) sales to Russia under the Arms Export Control Act of any defense articles, or defense services, and (b) licenses or other approvals for the export to Russia of any item on the United States Munitions List, except in support of commercial space cooperation following a six-month transition peri ....

GAC Qatar gets faster with AEO certification

GAC Qatar can now offer some customers even faster customs clearance of their shipments, thanks to Qatar customs certifying the company as an Authorised Economic Operator (AEO). 
 
It is the only logistics company in the State to be awarded this certification in the Import and Export category.
 
GAC’s AEO status was awarded after a stringent audit by Qatar customs of the company’s processes, procedures, systems, customs track record, financial health and safety and security measures.
 
GAC Qatar and its customers can now enjoy a host of benefits including priority clearances, simplified customs procedures and inspections, and having a dedicated Account Official to address any issues faced throughout the Import and Export process. Ship spares customers for whom GAC handles imports and exports, in particular, will directly benefit from this certification. ....
