Doha: Medical Director of Hamad General Hospital, Dr. Yousef Al Maslamani, has said that the recent rise in COVID-19 cases was due to the Eid Al Fitr celebrations.
Speaking during an Al Rayan TV programme yesterday, Dr. Al Maslamani said the increase in cases would hopefully be temporary and if that is the case then the lifting of restrictions will commence from May 28.
“The adherence to COVID-19 measures should continue, so we can start phase 1 of gradual lifting of COVID-19 restrictions from May 28 as per the schedule,” said Dr. Al Maslamani. ....
