Parra Romero will join the Liberty women s tennis team this upcoming fall.
The Liberty women s tennis team has announced the addition of Maria Juliana Parra Romero for the 2021-22 school year. Juli has a game that is built for success in college, stated Liberty Women s Tennis Head Coach Jeff Maren. On top of that, she is an amazing individual who will fit in nicely with our team and culture. We are excited to welcome her into our family and can t wait to have her join us on campus!
Parra Romero hails from Bucaramanga, Colombia and has reached No. 1 in Colombia s junior tennis rankings. Her highest ITF ranking is No. 527, and her top WTA ranking is No. 1371.
The Liberty women s tennis team has released its spring 2021 non-conference dual match schedule, with the season set to start on Jan. 23. After a challenging 2020, we are excited to get back to competing in the spring, stated Liberty Women s Tennis Head Coach Jeff Maren. Even though our schedule changed quite a bit, I truly believe that it will give us the opportunity to grow and to be challenged, as we move towards our goal of winning a conference championship.
The schedule is tentative and subject to change. The Lady Flames first match will be at Georgia State, Jan. 23. The following day, Liberty will square off with Mercer in a neutral site contest at Georgia State (Jan. 24).
