Relativity Space, an aerospace startup that carried out the first test flight of a 3D-printed rocket, announced Wednesday that it will focus on a bigger rocket to compete for commercial launches with SpaceX and other companies. The Long Beach, California-based company launched the world's first 3D-printed rocket, Terran 1, on March 22 from Cape Canaveral, Florida.
After failing the first and second attempt, the Terran 1—world’s first 3D-printed rocket, was launched successfully on its third attempt on Wednesday, but despite sustained efforts, it failed to achieve orbit during second-stage separation, according to AFP.
Two attempts to launch Relativity Space's Terran 1 rocket on Saturday, Mar. 11, were unsuccessful again.
The first 3D-printed spacecraft, Terran 1, will soon blast off to space. Here's when it'll take off, its features, and other details.
