Ski Santa Fe confirms human error is to blame for a chair slipping and hitting the one behind it on its Tesuque Peak lift.
A chair that held three riders wasn't reassembled properly after routine maintenance, causing it to lose its grip Saturday and slide backward, a resort manager said.
The chair lift experienced an issue Saturday afternoon "resulting in a prolonged stoppage," the ski basin said in a Facebook post.
