City (VNS/VNA) - Vietnamese conglomerate THACO shipped another 50
semi-trailers to the US earlier this month, its second batch to the market
after a first comprising 69 units in 2020.
THACO
expects exports this year to the US to be five times last year’s number.
In
February last year, it signed a memorandum of understanding for manufacturing
and distributing semi-trailers with PITTS Enterprises, one of the 15 largest
manufacturers of the product in the US.

HCM CITY — THACO shipped more than 200 Kia vehicles and auto parts to Thailand, Myanmar, Japan, and South Korea on February 17.
The conglomerate’s largest export consignment to date comprised cars, buses and semi-trailers manufactured at its factories at the THACO-Chu Lai Industrial Park in Quảng Nam Province.
The exports included 80 Grand Carnival cars to Thailand, the company’s seventh consignment to its partner, Yontrakit, since December 2019.

Hanoi (VNA) – Chu Lai Port in the Chu Lai Open
Economic Zone, the central province of
Quang Nam, is striving to establish
itself as a major
point of transit for goods in not only Vietnam but also other
countries.
Recently, 7,200 tonnes of paper pulp of the Sun Paper
Savannakhet, a company based in the Lao province of Savannakhet, were exported
to China via Chu Lai Port.
The batch was transported from Savannakhet to Chu Lai Port
by road and then to China by sea.
The Lao firm produces 400,000 tonnes of recycled pulp
