Plans to convert a Southend office block into more than 100 flats are set to move forward again having been in the pipeline for several years. Thamesgate House Ltd has submitted a planning application asking to change the use of Thamesgate House, in Victoria Avenue, from office space to 128 homes. Another application to convert part of the third floor in two flats has also been submitted, making the total 130. The proposals were given the green light back in 2017 and the newly submitted documents have been put forward to confirm no further approval from Southend Council is required. The scheme would see the seven-storey building converted into 94 two-bedroom and 34 one-bedroom apartments. ....
